Release 23.5
Breaking Changes
Please be advised, 23.5 introduces a one-time permissions requirement to successfully install/upgrade the database when using the new Management Center UI. The Management Center service account should be a member of
db_owner
when the UI installation or generated database upgrade script is run. This will allow the database to be updated to prepare it for future updates through the Management Center UI.
New Features:
Email notifications for @mentions
Administrators may extend their MCE Email Notification delivery with Emails for @Mentions. When a user is @mentioned in a group they will receive an email notification, informing them that they have been mentioned and linking to the group.
For more details and configuration key, visit the 23.5 Email Notifications Configuration page.
Test/Install MCE Database on MCE page in Management Center
The MCE page offers a database upgrade UI to allow MindLink Server Administrators to upgrade their database for new releases.
Administrators are able to test their database, from which the UI will inform them if the database is already up to date, or requires a scrip to update the database.When an upgrade is required, the administrator may install directly through the UI, or generate a script to upgrade on the SQL server.
Note : For upgrades from previous versions to 23.5 or above, elevated permissions are required the first time the UI is used to upgrade to prepare the database for this feature. The service account should be a member of
db_owner
when the UI installation or generated database upgrade script is run.
@Mentions for @Everyone / @All / @Team
It's now possible to address all members in a room with @All, @Everyone and @Team!
Functionally, these formats each behave the same way. When a message is received containing the mention alias it appears in every member's @MyMentions filter.
This feature can be paired with Emails for Mentions, providing email mentions to all group members.
