Latest Release Notes 24.3

New Features:

MCE Aliases

As a step towards supporting group aliases in a federated environment we need to support group aliases in MCE. The current implementation of Group Aliases acts as a standalone feature that supports MCE and SfB groups but is not backed by Orleans, which means that we cannot manage aliases over a federated connection.

Release 24.3 aims to achieve feature parity with legacy aliases.

MCE Alias Migration

With the introduction of MCE Aliases, migration capabilities have also been provided to ensure aliases can be migrated smoothly between backend services (UCMA and MCE)

Migration is only relevant to deployments which have been using a legacy alias service for UCMA groups. Migration is intended to be a 'one and done' process, rather than supplying parameters to this group by group.

Administrators may migrate their legacy aliases to MCE Aliases with PS commandlets.
